Oh boy! This place is by far the best thing The Hague has to offer er.. well nearly anyone who enjoys great organic vegetarian meals with a seaside view.
The food is freshly made, there's two sizes (big and bigger) and it's a daily changing menu.
Usually there's two different salads, quinoa or some other grain or rice, some elaborate fried thing made with either tofu or something else from heaven:).
There's soup or baked bread with garlic and herbs butter as a starter and really good dessert after, all included in the price which is less than 10 euros. (ask them for gluten-free subs, all is vegan btw)
The squatted cultural centre has proven to be one of the most exciting things the alternative youth (from 6 to 89 years old) has made for themselves.
The place is selfmanaged on anarchist principles, no bosses but lots of independent responsibility.
If you go to eat you might be lucky to go dancing or see a great life performance in the old warehouse that's been customised to a professional concerthall that holds 300 people easily!
The Hague, being the government city, has some image problems, it may not at first glance come across as an adventurous place, but it has a nicely hidden underground that makes it great!
I highly recommend visiting this place if you're in The Hague, you might otherwise get away from this town thinking it's boring.
Enjoy!
