The month of October is marked on the calendar of most Phuketians or Chinese decedents and those who are living or working elsewhere to return home to the island of Phuket for an important annual festival of Phuket Vegetarian festival.
It is typically once a year that Phuket Island turns white for around 9 days to celebrate the annual vegetarian festival. This year it is organized during the 22nd until 30th October.
