The dog ate it, is a well known excuse for students who did not bring their homework. A 13-year-old girl from Florida had to tell her teachers, she did not bring her work because of a racoon. It fell from the bathroom ceiling and fled into her room. Animal control, who came to catch the racoon, told the girl she could not go into her room. So she had to leave for school without her homework and schoolbooks.
