There are many places, but my favourite is probably Rasa on Stoke Newington Church Street (020 7249 0344) in North London. It is totally vegetarian, and has the most amazing choice of South Indian Vegetarian delicacies.
Note that there is a more recent Rasa restaurant open on the other side of the street, which serves fish as well, but the older original one is the one to make a pilgrimage too in my humble opinion...
